On Saturday 17th July 2021, a foreign paraglider pilot had an accident at Dirk se kop in Hogsback. The pilot was seriously injured and required medical assistance on the mountain, and was later taken to hospital.
While an accident has been reported, there is currently no information available about what caused the accident.
SAHPA can only confirm that the pilot was not a SAHPA member, and was not in possession of the required Foreign Pilot Permit.
