Paraglider Pilot rescued from Piketberg mountains

Rescue services assisted a male paraglider pilot (age 67) after he had an accident in the Piketberg Mountains just north of Piketberg (West Coast District). The pilot was hospitalised and is in a stable condition. It is not yet known what caused the accident, however this will be investigated to understand the cause.

The rescue was co-ordinated by the Aeronautical Rescue Co-ordination Centre (ARCC).
