Paragliding accident at Port Elizabeth

On 4th March 2021, a pilot flying at Lady Slipper near Port Elizabeth, was involved in a paragliding accident. While initial information is limited, it is believed that the pilot has sustained injuries and is (at time of writing) being airlifted by rescue services.

No further information is available at present, and the exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined. SAHPA will investigate in conjunction with AIID of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA). Further information on the AIID process.
