The South Africa Hang-Gliding and Paragliding Association (SAHPA) deeply regrets to convey that a paragliding pilot was involved in an accident at the Uplands launch site outside Plettenberg Bay on 14 September 2020.
The pilot later died of his injuries.
The exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined. SAHPA will investigate in conjunction with AIID of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA). Further information on the AIID process.
