On 7 March 2020 at mid-day, an experienced paragliding instructor was involved in an unfortunate tandem paragliding accident at Sedgefield site landing area.
Both pilot and passenger were taken to Life Hospital Knysna and are in a stable condition. They both have pelvic injuries which will recover with bed rest.
SAHPA and the flying community wishes to extend thanks to ER24 emergency services, who were on the scene within 30 minutes.
