The South Africa Hang-Gliding and Paragliding Association (SAHPA) deeply regrets to convey that an Austrian paragliding pilot was involved in a fatal accident at Langebaan yesterday, 22 January 2020.
Details are unclear, and the exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined. A case has been opened with SAPS, and SAHPA will investigate in conjunction with AIID of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA).
