CTA Risk Assessment for Signal Hill and Lions Head

Members of the Cape Town Tandem Association (CTA) have approved the CTA Risk Assessment at the CTA AGM on the 18th November 2021 and these have been adopted with immediate effect. The CTA risk assessment places operating restrictions on all TFI pilots launching from Signal Hill or Lions Head, in light of the complex micro-meteorology at these sites. It will be reviewed and revised based on TFI pilot input.

Impact on Recreational Pilots

The CTA Risk Assessment does not apply to recreational pilots, however recreational pilots would be wise to learn from these parameters when read in conjunction with the:
