Fatal Hang-Gliding Accident on 23 December 2020

The South Africa Hang-Gliding and Paragliding Association (SAHPA) deeply regrets to convey that a male South African pilot was involved in a fatal hang-gliding accident at Lion’s Head earlier today.

The exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined. A case has been opened with SAPS, and SAHPA will investigate in conjunction with AIID of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA). Further information on the AIID process.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences go to his family and friends.
