SAHPA have learned of a foreign paraglider pilot who had an accident on Lion’s Head on Tuesday 10th January 2023. The pilot has been airlifted to Groote Schuur Hospital for further medical treatment.
Update: unfortunately the pilot has succumbed to his injuries, and passed away early on the morning of 11th January 2023.
The reason for the accident is unknown, but will be investigated by the Civil Aviation Authority.
