The landowner at Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve (Franschoek, Western Cape) has expressed concern about a handful of paraglider pilots who refuse to pay permit fees. These objections are based on the mistaken premise that the Franschhoek launch site does not fall under the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve.
We have included a link below, which shows a map with the boundaries of MRNR.
All SAHPA Members are reminded to respect the Franschhoek site rules, as well as the landowner and staff.
Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve is not affiliated with SANParks or the WildCard Programme. Permits must be purchased at:
- The entrance to the reserve 8am-5pm (cash or Masterpass app, no card facilities)
- Online at WEBTICKETS
Cost of Permits
- R50 per person (daily)
- R300 per person (annual)
