SITE ACCESS

23/09/2008 Sedgefield
After satisfactory negotiations facilitated by roy williams in wilderness and Sahpa the following needs to be complied with when flying wilderness sites specifically Sedgefield.

Sedgefield is again open to pilots from today 24 sept 2008 onwards as long as these rules detailed below are complied with.

Sedgefield and Map Rules

Please comply and contact the local clubs before flying the sites - these details and how it works will be made availiable following a inter club chairman meeting this week.

1. Without exception - All pilots to have current Sahpa licenses
2. All visiting foreign pilots to have foreign temporary licenses there by entitling the landowner to the Sahpa third-party insurance cover. Details of where to get these licenses other than the Sahpa office will be detailed shortly.
3. All student pilots must be registered as student pilots with Sahpa prior to any flight at Sedgefield or the Map and thus also covered by the SAHPA thrid party insurrance.
4. Wilderness Clubs via their LSO's and Instructors must ensure all their members are properly briefed and that foreign pilots and visiting pilots are licensed and suitably briefed on the sites and dangers etc and most importantly the landing areas and the rules regarding the live stock and the closing of gates, parking , recovery etc.
5. All pilots are to land in designated landing areas.
6. Please note: Sahpa's insurance will not cover damage from landings in car parks etc unless proven to be an accident or a emergency landing.
7. Recovery drivers must always give access and allow local public and traffic right of way.
8. All live stock gates must kept closed after you travel through.
9. All pilots must be able to produce their licenses upon request of any LSO or the land owner. (A workable suggestion is to keep a current copy of you license kept in your harnesses).
