Based in Newcastle and covering the Northern Natal Region. We control all flying sites at Fort Mistake. The key to Fort Mistake is available from the following persons: James Green 083 742 6599, Charles Schulmann 082 804 8013 or Warren Gage 083 959 0253
The access road is the property of Sentech and they have a speed limit of 40km/h. People are requested by the land owner to not drive accross the veld and to remain on the tracks that lead to the launch sites only, this is a big problem! Flying at site is controlled by the club.

The Glen Club is the most long standing paragliding club in South Africa. The club house is situated at La Med, in Camps Bay, nestled at the bottom of Lions Head. Only Glen Club members are permitted to land at La Med. Visiting pilots must apply for temporary club membership. Pilots come from all over the world to fly in the mother city. Lions Head is arguably the most extensively flown site in SA. This site boasts two well maintained take off sites which are under the protection of the local Parks Board and the Glen Club. Commercial Tandem flying is also extremely active at the site and there are always experienced locals on hand to give advise when conditions are flyable. Whilst Lions Head is the Glen Clubs home site, Glen members regularly fly Signal Hill and Table Mountain which offer great flying experiences for the more experienced pilot (Sports License required).

The Club committee organizes regular fly always (Hermanus, Porterville, Wilderness, De Aar) and its members participates in paragliding events and competitions hosted by other Clubs. Members are encouraged to complete SIV courses and safety issues are seen as paramount importance. With such a beautiful club location parties, sundowners and braai’s are regular occurrences after an awesome days flying. The Glen Club is known for putting the fun back into flying.
